1. What is your opinion about using blogs to teach "writing" in EFL classrooms?
I think this is a good idea because it can develop the imagination of the studients and also improve the skill of writing doing something different that just be in a normal class.

2. Do you like working using blogs?
Yes I like it, because it is different of been in a classroom just listening the teacher, using blog is very fun.

3. What are some of the advantages of using blogs ?
It is fun, you work by your own and if you have difficults you can ask to the teacher for help and it is difficult to get bored.

4. What are some of the disadvantages?
I can't think in any disadvantages, because I think is a good idea, maybe it just bad for students that have not skills in using computers; but in nowadays that not happen very frecuently.

5. Do you plan to use blogs in the future?
Yes, of course. I think it is a very good tool for teaching writing.

I really enjoyed these classes Miss, I think everything was all right with the labs sessions.

Why is Writing important for an EFL teacher?

Writing is one of the skills that is important for learning a new language.
Teach this subject is significant because it can help to the student to improve english and to gain an insight into english language too.
Mandy Yates says in her article that for teaching writing to children: "Lucy Calkins suggests that for primary age students, it's easiest to start with small moments, or things that have happened to them, such as: a trip to grandma's, or the bumpy bus ride home, or catching fireflies in the evening."( How to teach authentic writing from the start, Mar 8, 2008)
It is a good a idea for children to start with short stories about their lifes, true stories. Things that they just need to tell not invent or think to much about them.
I think it is important for the student to feel comfortable about what they are writing specially when they are starting, so write about their own experiences at the beginning will be very helpful.

He wants to get married.

Bill was a very happy guy. He lives alone in his own place. He likes to spend time looking himself at the mirror, maybe he is a little self-centered, but he is a good guy.
He is a charming boy, many girls are in love with him but he is looking for the "perfect girl", he wants to get married, so he is careful with the girls he dated.
The last girl was a very crazy one, they just met and she begun to talk about the future, babies, house, honeymoon... he wants to get married, but he is not in a hurry so for him she was completely insane.
But today is another day and this day is special, because is saturday.
He got up and went to the mall to shopping, he wake up in a very good moog, he was singing and jumping in the mall, first he went to buy the dye, he put the sunglasses and went to buy, he didn't want that somebody recognize him.
Then he went to buy some clothes, he bought a jacket, two t-shirts, a pant and a pair of shoes.
He was walking to the exit very happy when he saw her. She was the most beautiful woman that he ever saw in his life.
She had an special shine, a very nice face and a kind look.
Now he began to think that this day will be a very good day, he started to walk to her wondering if she will be his future wife.

Sookie was having a bad day. She was feeling very sad; she had some problems in her house and she won't talk with anyone.

Her best friend Amy was very worried about her.

She didn't know what to do for her.

Finally Amy decided to go with her and see what was wrong with her.

She left the group and went to talk with her friend.

Sookie had a fight with her mom and she felt very sad about that.

Amy told her that everything will be ok if she go to her house and apologize with her mom.

Sookie felt better, she was worried about something that had a simple solution.

Amy invited her to joing the group. Her other friends Jesse, Jack and Lisa were very happy when she joined with them.

Now everyone was laughing and joking. Sookie felt happy for has a lot of good friend.

After classes she went to her house and apologized to her mom. Everything was right now.

The next day Sookie went to classes and Amy saw her, she knew that everything was fine now and the day will be great, maybe all the friend will go to the cinema and they will have a terrific day.

Woman arrested for killing virtual husband in Maple Story

I found this news in the online newspaper of Times on UK. (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/)

I think this is a very interesting and funny news because it is not a common one.
It is about a japanese woman that killed her virtual husband. They were married in a virtual game called Maple Story, and suddenly hi asked her the divorce,she was so angry that she logged his profile using his password and killed the character. She was arrested and acused of hacking into the profile of his "husband" or "ex-husband".
If she is found guilty of killing her digital parter, she could faces a maximun sentence of five year in jail or pay a bail.

My Favorite Interview

I really like Pablo's interview. His mom is a hard-working person and also very funny.
I admire her for studying been married and with grown children, if for us it is difficult to study I can't imagine how is for her, specially been the top of her class.

I chose: "Recycling should be compulsory in Chile", because it is something very important in nowadays, due to the polution that exist in the world, that also affect our country.

Interview

Rosario Lopez was born in Guatemala on October 7, 1987. Her father was Balvino López. He died when she was 2 years old and her mother, Carmen López died when she was 9 years old. Rosario has six siblings.
She studies Commercial Engineering at the Adventist University. She is a Sophmore.
She knew about the University after she arrived to an Adventist School in another city.
She spent two year there and she got an accountant degree.
In this place she met her boyfriend called Abdi.

With whom did you live after your parents' death?
I lived with my uncle. My mother's brother, and his family.

How old were you when you left your uncle's house and how was that?
I was 12 when I left my uncle's house. I went to a friend's house and then I went to the Casa Bernabé.

How was your life in the Casa Bernabé? What kind of things did you do?
The place was very nice, quiet and interesting. I went to school. We also had a lot of activities and girls' programs such as, dancing, musical band, sport, we rode bicycles, skate-lines, and also we frequently went to a river that was near.

What did you like and dislike when you lived there?
I liked that a lot of people came from the U.S.A, adults and young people. They spent a lot of time with us and they did many activities with us.
What I disliked was when I had to help in the kitchen for the meals in the house.

What is the happiest memory that you have of Casa Bernabé?
Well, I have a lot of memories, but I remember Christmas time, because I recieved a lot of gift and toys.

Why did you come to Chile?
The distance, far away was better for me. Also I didn't know anything about Chile. I found interesting that Chile was at the end of South America.

What big differences have you found between Chile and Guatemala?
First, Chile is big. Then, the climate is cold, the way you speak and the food.

What do you miss the most of Guatemala?
My boyfriend (hahaha), my family from Casa Bernabé, the food and my friends.

Three Thing That I learnt About "Argumentative Essays"

First, choose a topic for the essay, it is very important because you can not write about everything.
Second, you need to have facts that support your ideas.
Third, you need to be clear if you are against or for of your topic.

My parents and my sister live in Iquique, my brother lives in Santiago and I live in Chillan.

I'm in 3rd year of my career, The English Teaching Training Program.
